The Impact of Chromatin Architecture on Gene Regulation in Normal and Cancer Cells—October 2, 2020

Exciting opportunity to join Jane Skok’s lab At New York University School of Medicine. We are looking for a highly motivated wet lab postdoc to work on exploring the impact of chromatin architecture on gene regulation in the context of normal and cancer cells, with a specific focus on CTCF, CTCFL and their cofactors. The candidate should have experience in CRISPR and NGS techniques (chromosome conformation capture, or 3C; ChIP-seq; RNA-seq; and ATAC-seq is preferred). The postdoc is expected to establish independent research projects and generate high-impact publications, which should provide fellows with an excellent opportunity for further career development in academia or pharmaceutical companies.

To be considered for this position, please submit a CV, a cover letter, and the names of three references to Dr. Skok at jane.skok@nyulangone.org and lab manager Fara Faye Regis at farafaye.regis@nyulangone.org.

Staff Scientist

The Skok lab is looking for a highly motivated staff scientist with an interest in the broad question of how 3D chromatin structure modulates gene expression. Applicants should have extensive experience in the gene editing technique, CRISPR. Proficiency with other NGS approaches (ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq) is also desirable. The candidates are expected to establish independent research projects as well as collaborate with members of the lab on multiple different projects to generate high impact publications

To be considered, please submit a C.V., cover letter and names of 3 references to
