Adrian Erlebacher, M.D., Ph.D.

Adrian Erlebacher received his B.S. degree from Yale University in 1988, and his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from University of California San Francisco in 1997 and 1999, respectively. In between his undergraduate and graduate work, he spent a year studying music composition in Cambridge, England. His graduate dissertation was performed in the laboratory of Rik Derynck, where he studied the regulation of bone remodeling by the pleiotropic growth factor TGF-beta. For his postdoctoral studies, Dr. Erlebacher joined the laboratory of Laurie Glimcher at the Harvard School of Public Health, where he embarked upon his work on mechanisms of fetomaternal tolerance. Dr. Erlebacher joined the Pathology Department at the NYU School of Medicine, Langone Medical Center, in 2006. He is a member of the Pathobiology, Molecular Oncology and Immunology, and Developmental Genetics training programs.
