The Erlebacher lab is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to work on mechanisms of systemic immune suppression during pregnancy and their application to the treatment of type 1 diabetes and other autoimmune diseases. Interested candidates should have a recent Ph.D. in immunology, reproductive biology or related fields. A strong background in molecular biology is advantageous. The work involves a broad range of whole-animal, cellular, and molecular techniques. The successful candidate is expected to be highly motivated, creative, and capable of working independently. Excellent communication skills in oral and written English are essential.

The laboratory is located in the Smilow Research Building, a 13-story building with state-of-the-art research facilities on the NYU School of Medicine Campus located in mid-town Manhattan.
